What is Macambo?
Macambo is Theobroma bicolor, a distinct plant species in the cacao genus. Pataxte and Jaguar cacao are other names for it. Jungle-Harvest offers the whole beans in their natural form, ready to eat.
Are Macambo, Pataxte and Jaguar cacao the same?
These names are used for Theobroma bicolor. When buying, still check the ingredients and product form: whole beans, powder and blends are not automatically interchangeable.
What does white cacao mean?
At Jungle-Harvest, white cacao refers to Macambo Natural. It means pale-coloured beans, not white chocolate or an instant drink powder.
What does Macambo Natural taste like?
Macambo Natural has a mild, nutty and buttery taste. Try the beans on their own first to get to know their distinctive flavour and texture.
Do I need to prepare the beans?
Our Macambo Natural is ready to eat. No additional preparation is needed.
What ingredients does the product contain?
The ingredients list is 100% Macambo (Theobroma bicolor). Check the label on your pack for details specific to that pack.
Where does Jungle-Harvest Macambo come from?
Our Macambo comes from Santa Rita in Napo, Ecuador, where it is grown in Kichwa chakras. Orders are dispatched to customers from Germany.
Which pack sizes are available?
Macambo is available in 200 g, 500 g, 1 kg and 10 kg packs. Prices and unit prices are shown alongside the pack options. VAT depends on the delivery country; delivery charges are shown at checkout. The bulk pack is also available to private customers.
How can I tell which price is better value?
Compare the price per kilogram as well as the delivery charge. You can find the current unit prices for all four sizes alongside the pack options.
How can I use Macambo?
Enjoy Macambo Natural on its own, or chop it to use as a topping for muesli, bowls or salad. You could also mix a small amount with dried fruit or dark chocolate.
How should I store Macambo?
Follow the storage instructions and best-before date on your pack. Reseal the packaging carefully after taking out the beans.
How much does delivery to Germany cost?
Delivery to Germany costs 4.97 €. Delivery within Germany is free on orders with a value of 69 € or more.

How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes 2–4 days within Germany and 5–10 days for international deliveries, unless the specific offer states a different period. For advance payment, the period starts when you instruct your payment; deliveries are not made on Sundays or public holidays.
Can I order delivery to a parcel locker?
We do not deliver to parcel lockers. Please use a regular delivery address for your order.

How are the different pack sizes packaged?
Packaging: the 200 g size comes in a printed resealable pouch. The 500 g, 1 kg and 10 kg sizes come in clear plastic bags with a sticker. The resealable pouch shown in the images is the 200 g pack.
